Recipients in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2021

Mrs Margaret Anne Brown of Portstewart – Mrs Brown is a retired Solicitor with a background not only in private practice but lecturing in law. She has given a lot of time in her retirement to voluntary and charity work both here and in Africa.

Dr Brian Patrick Caul of Coleraine – Dr Caul’s background is in Education Administration and Governance and he is a trustee of the RNID.

Mr Albert Gordon Cunningham of Maghera – Mr Cunningham is the father of our very own David Cunningham DL and he has given lifelong service to the economy and industry in Northern Ireland, particularly in the South of the County. He is also an ardent supporter of Equine Sport and hunting and he has been a generous supporter of local charities.

Mr Samuel Thomas McGregor of Limavady – Mr McGregor’s background is in local Government. He is a Governor at St Finlough’s Primary School, Governor of NWRC and a member of the Local Policing and Community Safety Partnership.

Miss Gillian Elizabeth Montgomery of Coleraine – Miss Montgomery has given long service to Speech & Language Therapy within the NHSCT.

Miss Emma Jane Devenney of Limavady – Miss Devenney is a Special Educational Needs Classroom Assistance at Drumachose Primary School and has given long service to children with special educational needs.

Dr Venie Martin of Coleraine – Dr Martin was the Chairwoman of Causeway University of the Third Age during Covid and her contribution to the success of the Causeway Group cannot be overstated. Her background is in education.

The Lord Lieutenant, Mrs Alison Millar, congratulates all recipients who she says are hugely deserving and represent service given over decades across such a wide range of volunteering.
