His Majesty King Charles lll

The proclamation of His Majesty King Charles III took place on Saturday the 10th of September 2022 at 10.00am in the State Apartments of St James’s Palace before the Accession Council’s ranks of senior politicians and public figures, during which he dedicated the rest of his life to serving the Nation.

A second proclamation took place in the City of London at the Royal Exchange at midday on the 10th and on Sunday the 11th of Sept Proclamations were made in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

All Lord-Lieutenants continue in the office as Representatives of His Majesty the King, in their respective Counties and County Boroughs.

The Lord-Lieutenant of County Londonderry recognises how deeply saddened people across the County are by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who so selflessly dedicated her reign to the Nation and Commonwealth.

A period of mourning for Her Majesty will last until the day of the Funeral Service. Further information is available on royal.gov.uk
