MBE – David Alastair McGowan of Magherafelt – Services to Sport and Reconciliation.
A lifelong sportsman, he has given decades of service leading to the opening up of Police sporting facilities to the local communities. He was at the heart of the project which brought the World Police and Fire Games to NI in 2003. Building on this, the most successful of the WPF Games to that date, he continues to encourage local people to think of policing as a part of the community.

BEM – David Terrance Butler of Castledawson – Services to Public Transport.
In addition to a history of local community work he is an Access Manager for Translink. He has given many years of important service, in sometimes difficult circumstances, towards the smooth running of public transport.

BEM – Patricia Anne Dallas of Coleraine – Voluntary Service to Young People in Coleraine and district.
She has given 60 years of uninterrupted local voluntary service mainly through the auspices of the Ballywillan Girls Brigade ( she was a founder member). She has been a ‘go to’ volunteer in her local community for a myriad of other groups and causes including local sports clubs, Sunday School and fund raising for charities.
