Coronation Programmes

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort takes place on the morning of Saturday May 6th at Westminster Abbey. There will be a weekend of celebration and Monday 8th is a Bank Holiday.

Coronation Big Lunches, street parties and the Big Help Out will be community events across the Nation and the Commonwealth.

The Windsor Concert will be on the Sunday.

The Big Help Out will involve the public in lots of activities planned for the Bank Holiday Monday by local groups, charities and voluntary organisations. The Big Help Out website will go live in March.

The emphasis of the Coronation is on Volunteering, Youth, Community, Diversity and the Commonwealth and World diaspora.

The King and Queen Consort will embark on a Coronation Tour across the UK. The dates of the Tour will be announced in due course.

A Volunteer Champion Award scheme to mark the huge continuing contribution by volunteers across the Nation will be an important part of the Coronation Programme. Beacons are not officially planned.
