Our Lord Lieutenant is delighted to announce the appointment of Jayne Taggart as a Deputy Lieutenant to the County.
Jayne has worked for over 30 years developing the social enterprise sector, making significant contributions within her local community and across Northern Ireland, particularly within the last 18 years as CEO of Enterprise Causeway. Jayne is passionate and committed to promoting the message of enterprise and entrepreneurship, displaying tremendous vision, leadership and tenacity in the development of interventions for youth, female entrepreneurs, the third sector and the wider business community. That passion and determination steered the beautiful restoration of the Old Bushmills Courthouse into the ‘Shared Space Creative Hub’ where some of the County’s finest crafters can work, display and sell their products.
Jayne’s current voluntary positions include Director of Enterprise NI, also she is on Governing body of the Northern Regional College and is a Board member of Coleraine Future Town Fund. She also holds an individual honour of the Kings Award for Enterprise for her work in local enterprise development and her fellow Deputy Lieutenants look forward to all she will bring to the County Lieutenancy.
